چکیده
In this study, the relationship between growth of abalone and presence epibionts was investigated in cultured Goheung, Jeollanam-do, where there are severe problems high water temperatures attachment. The experiment conducted for eight months (May-December 2020), 40 were collected every month. Water temperature at its highest a range 13.5°C–26.6°C dissolved oxygen levels their lowest 4.0–10.2 ?g/L August. shell height (mm) grew to 117.7% (81.8 ± 1.9 mm) cultures removed (ER) 111% (77.4 3.3 they not (non-epibionts, NER). Their total weight (TW) body increased significantly steadily with ER, whereas TW sharply after August NER. condition index, no significant difference observed ER monthly proportion July, accounting value 69.9% reached December.

iTRAQ-Based Identification of Proteins Related to Muscle Growth in the Pacific Abalone, Haliotis discus hannai
The abalone Haliotis discus hannai is an important aquaculture species that is grown for human consumption. However, little is known of the genetic mechanisms governing muscle growth in this species, particularly with respect to proteomics. The isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) method allows for sensitive and accurate protein quantification. Our study was the first to ...

A novel, Gram-staining-positive, facultatively anaerobic, non-motile and coccus-shaped bacterium, strain WL80(T), was isolated from the gut of an abalone, Haliotis discus hannai, collected from the northern coast of Jeju in Korea. Optimal growth occurred at 30 °C, pH 7-8 and with 1% (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain WL80(T) fell within th...

A novel Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-motile, yellow-pigmented and rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain WB5(T), was isolated from the intestinal tract of an abalone, Haliotis discus hannai, collected from the northern coast of Jeju in Korea. The isolate grew optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7 and in the presence of 0.5 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicat...

A novel Gram-negative, aerobic, non-motile and rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain WM67(T), was isolated from the gut of an abalone (Haliotis discus hannai) collected from the northern coast of Jeju Island in Korea. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that strain WM67(T) clustered in the genus Pseudoruegeria, and the highest sequence similarity was shared wit...
متن کاملDifferentially-Expressed Genes Associated with Faster Growth of the Pacific Abalone, Haliotis discus hannai
The Pacific abalone Haliotis discus hannai is used for commercial aquaculture in Korea. We examined the transcriptome of Pacific abalone Haliotis discus hannai siblings using NGS technology to identify genes associated with high growth rates. Pacific abalones grown for 200 days post-fertilization were divided into small-, medium-, and large-size groups with mean weights of 0.26 ± 0.09 g, 1.43 ±...
